Anthony Hill

Anthony Hill can make any subject funny and will make you laugh even if you don’t want to. His comedy is a mix of intelligent observations and opinions expressed through entertaining characters, voices, and act-outs. Audience’s of all ages and types are inevitably charmed by his warm and comical personality. Growing up in Oroville Ca. (where gravy is considered a beverage) he soaked in and rebelled against his redneck surroundings. As with most comedians he was the class clown spending lots of time in the principals office (the teachers not appreciating the ’sets’ he did in class). Always destined for a life in professional comedy he has had many pit stops along the way creating a rich a varied life: boxer, paramedic, therapist, professional guitarist and cruise ship musician.
Anthony finally got the hint to go into comedy full time while on the cruise ship noticing that more people came to see the band not for the music but for the humorous remarks he would make between songs. Besides how many times can you play ‘Proud Mary’ to senior citizens with gastric distention? He jumped ship found his way to the nearest comedy club stage and has never looked back. Anthony Hill has performed comedy all over the country from L.A to Canada to the Eastern Seaboard to the Hawaiian Islands. He has performed in every major comedy club in the Bay Area including the Punch Line, Cobbs Comedy Club and the San Jose Improv where he is considered a ‘favorite’, sharing the stage with national headliners such as Brett Butler, Maria Bamford, Willie Barcena, Robert Schimmel, Darrell Hammond, Jeff Dunham, Bob Saget, and Brian Regan. Anthony is also busy working in small clubs, corporate functions, comedy festivals, and major benefits every week of the year.
